Make Do reads a photo of the inside of your fridge, works out what is on the shelves, and writes five recipes from those ingredients — ranked so whatever is closest to going off gets cooked first. The average home throws away about $1,500 of food a year, and most of it is food somebody meant to cook.

The yearly plan works out at $4.92 a month. Both plans are a fair-use cap rather than a hard sell: 300 scans is roughly ten a day, and a heavy user does about one.

Do I need to enter a card to try it?
No. The free scans work straight after you sign up with an email address.
What happens to my fridge photos?
They are read once and never stored. Only a hash of the photo is kept, so
scanning the same shelf twice costs nothing.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Pro accounts get a billing link that opens Stripe's own portal, where you
can cancel, update your card and see every invoice.
