Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Make Do, at makedomeals.com. Using the service means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

What Make Do does

You photograph food you already have. We send that photo to an AI service that identifies ingredients, then generate recipes from what it found. You can save recipes and record staples you always keep in.

Recipes are suggestions, not advice

Recipes are produced automatically by an AI model. They are not reviewed by a person, a chef, a nutritionist, or a food safety professional.

You are responsible for what you cook and eat. In particular:

• Ingredient detection can be wrong. Always check what you actually have before cooking, especially if you have allergies.
• We cannot detect whether food is spoiled, out of date, or unsafe. A photo does not show that.
• Cooking times and temperatures are suggestions. Follow standard food safety practice for meat, fish, eggs and shellfish.
• Dietary filters (vegan, gluten-free and so on) are a best effort by a model and can be wrong. Do not rely on them if a mistake would harm you.

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, verify every ingredient yourself.

Your account

You need an email address and a password. Keep the password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access.

One account per person. Creating accounts automatically, or to get around usage limits, is not allowed.

Free and paid plans

Free: 3 scans in total (not per day) and up to 10 saved recipes.

Pro: $7.99 per month or $59 per year. Includes up to 300 scans per month and unlimited saved recipes.

The 300 scans is a fair-use limit measured over a rolling 30 days. It exists because each scan costs us money to run. Ordinary use does not come close to it. There is also a limit of 10 scans per hour on every plan.

Payment, renewal and cancellation

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee.

Prices can change. If they do, we will tell you before it affects you, and you can cancel instead.

Refunds

If Make Do is not what you expected, email us within 14 days of a payment and we will refund it. If the service is broken and we cannot fix it, we will refund you regardless of when you ask.

Things you should not do

• Upload photos of anything other than food and your own kitchen
• Upload images containing other people, or anything illegal
• Try to break, overload, or work around the limits of the service
• Resell or redistribute what the service produces as if it were your own product

We may suspend an account that does these things.

Availability

We try to keep Make Do running but do not promise it will always be available. It depends on services we do not control, including the AI provider and our host. We may change or discontinue features.

Liability

Make Do is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we close yours without cause, we will refund any unused paid period.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
